Laurel Carnahan is a printmaker working in original collagraph prints. Collagraphs are relief prints (similar to woodcuts or linoleum blocks) from plates made from cardboard, glue, and found objects. These prints are either numbered, in limited editions, or sometimes marked A/P ("Artist Proof") or M/P ("monoprint"). These notations are used when the print includes hand coloring or other unique aspects. Silk and marbled papers, created by the artist, as well as hand-made Oriental papers, are often incorporated into the work.   Each piece is an original, one of a kind, work of art
